Handy To Keep Close:

Shield and Shine Spray

Shield and Shine Spray

Not required, but great for everyday styling. Mist a little on your ends, give it 60 seconds to dry, then start curling.

Three small steps. Better curls.

Follow these simple steps to get lovely curls in just a few minutes

1

Start with dry, brushed hair

The task:

Check that your hair is completely dry, and detangle it with an ordinary brush or comb. The GoCurl PRO is made for dry hair only.

The reason:

Knots can catch and hold you up as you feed a small section into the barrel of the curler. Smooth, dry strands glide in cleanly and curl evenly.

Handy hints:

Fresh from the shower? Let your hair dry naturally or blow-dry it first. The GoCurl PRO creates curls, it is not a dryer. Hair has to be 100% dry before you begin.

2

Pick Your Heat

The task:

Turn on: Hold down the power button ⏻ (on/off) for a couple of seconds to switch the device on.

Choose your heat: Press the (+/-) button to cycle through the six temperature levels.

The reason:

Excess heat can stress fine hair, while too little on thick hair lets the curl fall out quickly. Matching the temperature to your hair type gives the best curl for the least effort.

Temperature Guide

300°F Great for fine, thinning or color-treated hair too.
320°F Suited to fine or medium hair.
340°F Suited to medium hair.
360°F Suited to medium or somewhat thick hair.
380°F Suited to thick or coarse hair.
390°F Suited to thick, coarse, or stubborn hair that resists curling.
Handy hints:

The Go Curl PRO warms up in roughly 60 seconds. When the temperature indicator stops blinking, you are ready to begin curling

Unsure what to choose? Begin at the lowest setting and go up one level if the curl is not what you hoped for.

3

Lock in your curls and make them last longer
pair our Heat Protectant Spray for salon-quality results that go the distance.

The task:

Mist a light layer over your ends. Allow roughly 30 to 60 seconds to dry, and when your hair feels dry to the touch, begin curling.

The reason:

The Heat Protectant Spray forms a shield between the hot barrel and your strands. It adds shine too and helps tame frizz. Do not skip it if you curl often.

Handy hints:

Go light. Too much spray makes hair heavy. Two or three gentle spritzes are enough.

About charging:

The GoCurl PRO charges through USB-C. Look at the screen to see the battery level before you begin. Important: NEVER USE the GoCurl PRO while it is charging or plugged in. Charge first, unplug, then curl.

You Got This.

Begin with Step 1. Each section takes just seconds, and a whole head takes around seven minutes.

Step 1

Feed In Your First Section

The Basic Curl

Woman holding the curling device beside her hair

What To Do:

Pick up a small section of hair, roughly 1/2 to 1" wide (depending on how thick your hair is).

With thick hair, begin with a 1/2" section. Tilt it slightly to one side of your head, guide the ends into the barrel opening and keep START pressed until the curl is done.

In a few seconds the barrel pulls in the hair and curls it. Hold still and wait for the beep. After 3 beeps, release START and carefully slide the device off your hair. And VOILA, gorgeous curls!

Why It Matters:

Small sections feed in smoothly and curl evenly. The beep lets you know the curl is ready, so there is no guesswork.

NOTE: NEVER CURL THE SAME SECTION A SECOND TIME WHILE IT IS STILL INSIDE THE CHAMBER

Pro Tips:

The curl time determines whether curls turn out loose or tight. Hold the ⏻ button on the right side until the time appears on the display. Choose 08 seconds for loose curls or 18 seconds for tight ones, adjusting the number with the (+/-) button on the left.

Choose "L" (left) or "R" (right) with the start button, depending on which side of your head you are working on. (A green L or R is displayed along the screen's top edge).

Hold the section flat and untwisted as it goes in, otherwise the curl comes out uneven.

Step 2

Work Around Your Head

Left Side, Right Side
Plus The Back.

What To Do:

Begin on one side and move around the head. Work in ½-inch sections.

A mirror makes it easier to guide the hair at the back.

Pro Tips:

To make styling simpler, use ½-inch sections and lead each one away from your head as it enters the barrel.

Step 3

Set And Shake Out

Set The Curl

What To Do:

Give the curls a full minute to cool and do not touch them. When they have cooled, softly comb through with your fingers.

Shake them out if you want a looser, softer finish.

Why It Matters:

Curls hold their shape as they cool, and touching them early can relax the curl. Waiting just one minute makes them last far longer.

Pro Tips:

Prefer tight, defined curls? Do not touch them once cooled.

Prefer soft waves? Skip the comb and use your fingers instead.

For hold that lasts all day, add a little hairspray and leave the curls alone.

Step 4

Quick Touch-Ups

Quick Touch-Up

What To Do:

Spot a strand that went limp or was skipped? Put just that section back in, wait for the beep, then slide it out. You do not have to redo everything.

Why It Matters:

The GoCurl PRO works fast enough to fix a single strand. Refresh a curl in seconds before heading out, or later in the day.

Pro Tips:

Once it has cooled, tuck the curler into your bag for touch-ups while you are out.

Repairing one fallen curl takes roughly ten seconds.

Something not right?
There is a fix.

Look for your problem below and follow the solution. You will be styling again in no time.

Battery seems to run out fast

Why this happens:

Running the top heat setting throughout, or skipping a full charge before the first use.

The solution:

Charge it completely before your first use. Choose the lowest temperature that keeps your curl in place. For best performance, charge the GoCurl PRO between sessions.

GoCurl PRO troubleshooting

The GoCurl PRO automatically shuts off in 60 seconds if not in use

Why this happens:

The battery is low, or the automatic shut-off has activated.

The solution:

Look at the screen for the battery level and charge through USB-C. As a safety measure, the GoCurl PRO has an auto-shut off that switches it off when idle. Press the power button to turn it on again.

GoCurl PRO automatic shut-off

My hair got caught in the barrel

Why this happens:

Pushing too much hair into the chamber at one time can jam it and keep the barrel from rotating.

The solution:

Switch the device off and carefully pull the hair out of the chamber. Then retry with a smaller, brushed, flat section. A section of half an inch or less gives the best outcome anywhere on your head.

Hair caught in GoCurl PRO barrel

The curl does not hold

Why this happens:

The temperature is too low for your hair, the sections are too large, or the curl was touched before it cooled.

The solution:

Go up one temperature level and take smaller sections. After each curl, wait a full minute before touching it. A bit of hairspray once cooled adds hold.

GoCurl PRO curl not holding

The curls look too tight, or not tight enough

Why this happens:

The size of the section and the time it is held both shape the final curl.

The solution:

A lower timer setting gives looser curls: 8 seconds loosens them, 12 seconds makes waves, and 18 seconds creates the tightest curls.

GoCurl PRO curl size adjustment

It keeps talking and beeping

Why this happens:

The GoCurl PRO guides you with audio signals. They announce the battery level, signal that a curl is finished, and warn that it is about to switch off.

The solution:

That is expected and shows the device is working. It stops beeping as soon as the curl is finished.

Three Habits. Better Curls Every Time.

Wiping the barrel when it is cool

Wipe The Barrel When It Is Cool.

Styling products and natural oils collect on the barrel over time. When it has fully cooled, wipe it with a dry cloth so it heats evenly and hair slides out easily.

Let it cool before putting it away

Let It Cool Before You Put It Away.

Wait until the barrel is fully cool before you store it. Keep it somewhere dry and free of dust so it stays clean and works like the first day.

Charge it the night before

Charge It The Night Before.

Make it a routine to charge the night before you curl, so you never run out of power mid-curl. Charge over USB-C from a power bank, a laptop or any standard charger.
